Great sandwiches and chili! I have been here a dozen or so times, always delicious. Everything is so fresh. Lots of seating inside. I've never been disappointed, will be back again,

Good bagels and breakfast but their lunch is sublime! Perfect for build your own sandwich or salad! I love liverwurst and I can always count on them for an overstuffed Sammie!

Fruitville Forum, a unique plaza nestles on the corner of Fruitville and Beneva.
Nellie's is an excellent place for lunch.
A deli with good size portions. There is a nice market, and they caterer. They catered my sister's wedding, and we received excellent service.
The staff is welcoming, and the food is well priced and consistently delicious. -

Very Disappointing - $30 for three sandwiches!
Many aspects of our visit today led to the rating of ONE STAR.
Keeping it short and sweet: First and foremost service was hurried and as if the servers (Nellies) was doing us a favor. Then, how could they be out of croissants at 2 pm? Really - you are a deli... Although they show two types of chicken salad, they looked at us as if we had two heads when we inquired did they have Curried Chicken Salad - finally the serves replied, "no." In looking at the picture, on one side you see the tomatoes placed on our sandwiches; beside them (the red ones) are the ones we placed9 on our food when we got home.
What started as the best deli in Sarasota 30-ish years ago has slowly descended into an establishment that no longer seems to care about the quality of their product or satisfaction of their customers. In closing even Subway provides a better tomato. HOPE things improve. -

Nellie's used to be one of my favorite places, until yesterday. It was my first meal of the day, and everything seemed fine until a few hours later. Since then I've spent most of last night and still today in the restroom. I had clam chowder and half of a turkey sandwich. I will never go back, because the pain in my stomach and my now chapped backside are something I never want to experience again!
